What is the best service to find sponsors for my newsletter?
It depends on who sends the pitches. If you will, a sponsor database such as SponsorGap (from $39 a month) lists brands that buy newsletter ads. If you won't, Book a Sponsor emails those brands for you every day, on a plan from $19 a month. Marketplaces such as Passionfroot work once brands find you.
Book a Sponsor (bookasponsor.com) pitches brands to sponsor newsletters. We make it, so read its rows with that in mind.
The four kinds of service, by who does the work
For a newsletter owner looking for a first or next sponsor, the services split by who sends the pitch. The price matters less than whether you will do the part the service leaves to you.
| Kind | Who does the work | Examples and price | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sponsor database | You pitch from its list of brands that buy | SponsorGap $39, $89 or $199 a month; Who Sponsors Stuff: a free plan with about 10% of the database, no contacts | A newsletter owner with time to send about 165 pitches for each yes |
| Pitching service | It finds the buyer and emails the brand for you | Book a Sponsor: $1 card check gets 200 emails, then a plan from $19/mo; SponsorGap's managed plans: $999 a month plus a 10% success fee, or $2,999 a month | A newsletter owner who wants replies without doing the sending |
| Marketplace or storefront | Brands find your listing and book it | Passionfroot: free, 15% of deals it brings you; Paved: free to join | Lists that brands already look for; Paved's Marketplace needs 50,000+ subscribers |
| Ad network | The platform places paid ads in your issues | beehiiv Ad Network: a paid beehiiv plan, from $49 a month with yearly billing | Newsletters sent through beehiiv; no subscriber minimum stated |

What finding one sponsor is worth
The median main slot in a newsletter under 5,000 subscribers is $150, and $300 from 5,000 to 19,999 subscribers (364 newsletters that print a price and a list size, read 25 October 2026). One sponsor who books every month for a year is worth twelve of those. That is the number to set a service's price against.
Finding the brand is the easy half. In Book a Sponsor's own sending, 5,742 pitches to brands with a sign they buy newsletter ads got 35 yeses (27 August 2026 to 6 October 2026). That is 6.1 per 1,000, about one for every 165 pitches. A list of brands doesn't send those emails; you or a service does.
Which one to pick
- You will write and send the emails: a database. SponsorGap's $39, $89 or $199 a month plans list brands with ad history; the databases page ranks the others.
- You want replies and no sending: a pitching service. Book a Sponsor finds the person who buys the ads and emails them from its own mailboxes. Book a Sponsor's price: $1 card check gets 200 emails, then a plan from $19/mo (Starter $19 a month for up to 600 emails a month, Kit $49 a month for up to 1,500 emails a month, Growth $99 a month for up to 3,000 emails a month). First sponsor reply inside 30 days or your money back. The pitch-for-you ranking compares the rest.
- Brands already ask about your list: a storefront or marketplace. Passionfroot is free and takes nothing on deals you bring; Paved's Marketplace takes a revenue share and needs 50,000 subscribers.
- You publish on beehiiv: its Ad Network finds the advertisers and you pick which offers to run, each with its estimated payout shown. The beehiiv page has how often its newsletters run paid ads.
Where the others beat Book a Sponsor
- Price, if you do the sending. A database at $39 a month costs less than a plan from Book a Sponsor, and you keep the contacts and the wording.
- Inbound deals. A marketplace brings brands that are already shopping, and its fee is due only when a deal closes. Book a Sponsor sends cold email, so most brands won't answer.
- Closing and payment. Paved and Passionfroot take the booking and the payment, and Paved handles the contract too. Book a Sponsor stops at the reply: you close the deal and invoice it yourself.
What this page doesn't show
- We read each vendor's own pages and did not test the other services. Their prices and fees are as published on the dates shown.
- The pitch counts are Book a Sponsor's sending for its own customers. They are the best number we have for cold-pitching a newsletter sponsor, not a measurement of anyone else's service.
- The $150 median is a printed list price; a deal can close above or below it.
Questions
Is there a free service to find newsletter sponsors?
Partly. Who Sponsors Stuff has a free plan with about 10% of the database, no contacts. SponsorGap gives 7 days of full access, no card needed. Passionfroot and Paved are free to join and take a fee on deals, and our sponsor list is free. Book a Sponsor takes a $1 card check for the first 200 emails, then a plan from $19 a month.
Which service finds sponsors for a small newsletter?
One with no minimum. Paved's Marketplace asks for 50,000 subscribers, but its Booker page is open to any list size, and Book a Sponsor has no subscriber minimum. Under 5,000 subscribers the median main slot is $150. The small-newsletter ranking scores each option.
How many pitches does it take to land a sponsor?
In our sending, about 165 pitches to brands with a sign they buy newsletter ads got one yes, and about 385 to the rest (30,902 pitches). A yes is a brand saying it is interested, not a paid booking.
Does a service take a cut of my sponsorship?
Some do. Passionfroot takes 15% of deals its network brings you, and SponsorGap's $999 managed plan adds a 10% success fee. The databases here list no commission, and Book a Sponsor takes none: it charges for the emails it sends.
