What are the best newsletter sponsorship management tools?
Sponsorship management tools run the deals you already have: slot calendar, booking, payment, ad assets and reports. Sponsy is the full manager ($0 a month plus $5 a booked slot; Pro from $49), SponsorCal takes 5% of each booking, and Paved's Booker is free plus Stripe's 2.9%. Sponsy and SponsorCal don't find sponsors.
Book a Sponsor (bookasponsor.com) pitches brands to sponsor newsletters. We make it, so read its rows with that in mind.
The tools, side by side
This is for a newsletter owner who already has sponsors and runs them from email and a spreadsheet. Each row was read on the tool's own pages on 3 November 2026, except Passionfroot (8 October 2026).
| Tool | What it runs | Price | Fee on deals | Brings sponsors? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sponsy | Ad-slot calendar, sponsor CRM, proposals, advertiser portal, storefront, reports from your sending platform | Starter $0 a month plus $5 per booked slot, after 5 welcome slots; Pro $49 a month for up to 10 booked slots, $5 each after that, in bands up to $599 a month | None; it charges per slot or by band, not a share | No |
| SponsorCal | Booking page: sponsors pick a date, pay upfront and upload assets; slot limits stop double-booking | No subscription and no card to set up | 5% of each booking, Stripe fees included | No; its page says it is not a marketplace |
| Paved Booker | Booking page and media kit, offers, chat and payouts | Free | None from Paved; Stripe adds a 2.9% processing fee on every transaction | Paved says it connects you with matching brands |
| Passionfroot storefront | Storefront and media kit with calendar, booking forms, messaging and payments | Free for creators, no monthly fee | 15% of deals Passionfroot brings you | Yes, its brand network |
| Letterhead Revenue | Part of Letterhead Studio; schedules sponsorships and house ads across your newsletters, with sponsor reports | A quote by number of newsletters and audience size, through a form | None stated | No; it can send open slots to the programmatic ad servers you connect |

What a month of 4 sponsored slots costs
Take 4 main slots a month at the median printed price: $150 each under 5,000 subscribers and $300 from 5,000 to 19,999 (364 newsletters that print a price and a list size, read 25 October 2026). Sponsy's Starter counts booked slots, not dollars, so its cost stays flat as your price rises; a percentage fee grows with it.
| Tool | Under 5,000 ($600 of slots) | 5,000 to 19,999 ($1,200) |
|---|---|---|
| Sponsy Starter, after the welcome slots | $20 | $20 |
| Sponsy Pro | $49 | $49 |
| SponsorCal (5%) | $30 | $60 |
| Paved Booker (Stripe 2.9%) | $17 | $35 |
Sponsy also lists a $1,000 concierge onboarding line under every plan in its comparison table (its homepage says "Concierge migration available"); not counted above · Pro's $49 band covers up to 10 booked slots
Which one at your size
- One newsletter, a few sponsors a month: a booking page. Paved's Booker costs only Stripe's fee; SponsorCal adds asset deadlines and slot limits for 5%.
- Several newsletters or a sales team: Sponsy Pro (10 publications with unlimited placements, 20 seats, unlimited storefronts and automations, IO e-signatures).
- A media company already on Letterhead: its Revenue module, priced by quote.
- No sponsors yet: none of these. Start with the brands that buy newsletter ads, then pitch them or have them pitched.
Where these tools beat Book a Sponsor
- They run the deal after the yes. Booking, payment, assets and reports. Book a Sponsor takes no bookings or payments and stops at the reply.
- They cost less once sponsors come to you. A booking page at a few percent is cheaper than paying for outreach you no longer need.
- Book a Sponsor does the other job: it finds the person who buys the ads and emails them every day. In its own sending, about one in 165 pitches to brands with a sign they buy newsletter ads got a yes (30,902 pitches, 27 August 2026 to 6 October 2026). Book a Sponsor's price: $1 card check gets 200 emails, then a plan from $19/mo (Starter $19 a month for up to 600 emails a month, Kit $49 a month for up to 1,500 emails a month, Growth $99 a month for up to 3,000 emails a month).
What this page doesn't show
- We read each tool's own pages and did not test them. Prices and fees are as published on 3 November 2026 (Passionfroot on 8 October 2026).
- The month above counts each tool's own fee and Stripe's on Booker; any card processing a tool doesn't include is left out.
- The medians are printed list prices; a deal can close above or below them.
Questions
What is the best newsletter sponsorship management tool?
For a team selling many slots across several newsletters, Sponsy: it covers the calendar, CRM, creative and reports. For a solo newsletter with a few sponsors, a booking page (SponsorCal or Paved's Booker) takes the payment and the assets for less.
Is there a free sponsorship management tool?
Paved's Booker is free; Stripe takes 2.9% of each payment. Sponsy's Starter plan has no monthly fee and charges $5 per booked slot after 5 welcome slots. A spreadsheet is free too, and Sponsy's homepage pitches itself as the step up from one ("You started with a simple spreadsheet").
Do these tools find sponsors for me?
Mostly not. Sponsy and SponsorCal run deals you bring; Passionfroot's network and Paved can send brands your way. Finding and pitching new brands is what a sponsor-finding service does.
Can I use Book a Sponsor with Sponsy or SponsorCal?
Yes, they do different jobs. Book a Sponsor pitches brands and hands you the replies; a management tool takes it from there with the booking, the payment and the report.
