What does Sponsy do for newsletter sponsorships, and what does it cost?

Sponsy is sponsorship management software for newsletters: an ad-slot calendar, a sponsor CRM, proposals, a portal where advertisers send creative, booking storefronts and reports pulled from beehiiv, Mailchimp or Kit. Starter is $0 a month plus $5 per booked slot after 5 welcome slots; Pro starts at $49 a month. It doesn't find sponsors.

Book a Sponsor (bookasponsor.com) pitches brands to sponsor newsletters. We make it, so read its rows with that in mind.

What Sponsy does

This is for a newsletter owner who already sells sponsorships and runs them from spreadsheets and email threads. Sponsy puts every ad slot across your publications on one calendar and keeps sponsors and deals in a CRM, with proposals and, on Pro, insertion orders to e-sign. Each advertiser gets a portal to upload assets, review placements and approve creative. Sponsy pulls opens and clicks from beehiiv, Mailchimp, Kit and others into reports it can send on a schedule, and a storefront lets brands book open slots.

What Sponsy leaves to you: finding the sponsor

Every booking in Sponsy starts with a brand that already said yes. Getting that yes is the part Sponsy leaves out. In Book a Sponsor's sending, about one in 165 pitches to brands with a sign they buy newsletter ads got a yes (30,902 pitches, 27 August 2026 to 6 October 2026). Book a Sponsor sends those pitches for you and hands you the replies, and Sponsy can run the deal from there. Book a Sponsor's price: $1 card check gets 200 emails, then a plan from $19/mo (Starter $19 a month for up to 600 emails a month, Kit $49 a month for up to 1,500 emails a month, Growth $99 a month for up to 3,000 emails a month).

Who uses Sponsy?

Its homepage names TLDR, Payload, The Rundown AI, CRE Daily, The Deep View, Stacked Marketer, DTC and The Donut (read 3 November 2026). Its pricing FAQ says it works for podcasts, YouTube channels and social accounts too, though automatic metrics are newsletter-only for now.

What is a cheaper alternative to Sponsy?

For a few sponsors a month, a booking page: Paved's Booker is free with Stripe's 2.9%, and SponsorCal takes 5% of each booking. The management tools page works out a month of each.

Does Sponsy take a commission?

No. Starter charges per booked slot and Pro a monthly price by band; neither takes a share of what the sponsor pays you.
